Nibroc For All

Downtown Corbin Festival-Week Business Survey

NIBROC Festival — August 2026 (74th Annual). We are gathering honest, factual input from downtown businesses about NIBROC week — what worked, what didn't, and what would make next year better for everyone, including the businesses for whom the festival is already a strong week. Modeled on published university Extension event-impact instruments (Mississippi State University Extension Publication 3833). Results will be aggregated and anonymized; no individual business's numbers will be shared. Takes about 10 minutes.

Rank your top three changes (1 = most important):

Better restroom signage, capacity, or placement so storefronts aren't the default bathroom
Cleanup and damage requirements in the carnival operator's contract (incl. grease containment)
Vendor placement rules — no booths blocking storefronts; food vendors kept away from restaurant frontage
Feature Corbin's own businesses and local vendors on Main Street; group carnival and traveling vendors together on Depot
Free or discounted booth space for downtown businesses, placed at their own door
Route foot traffic past storefronts instead of walling businesses off
Programming and layout that spreads the stage-area crowd benefit to more of downtown
Shorter festival footprint or duration
A standing merchant seat in festival planning
Better advance notice and a published street-closure schedule
